What is Derp Dailies?

Offline solvers for derp.works

Derp Dailies is a free helper for the three daily games on derp.works: Tuner, Derple and Decoder. It runs entirely in your browser — nothing you paste is sent to any server. No wallet, no login, no account.

The games reset at 00:00 UTC every day. The clock in the header counts down to the reset; the New Day button clears all three panels when you want a fresh start.

Tuner

Find the hidden frequency (0–999)

Each day a frequency between 0 and 999 is hidden. Your guesses get feedback — how far you were and which way to move. The Tuner turns that feedback into the next best guess and shows your mining boost.

How to use it

  1. Pick a channel. Easy always shows the direction (lock ×1.00). Normal always shows the trend (lock ×1.50). Hard only shows the trend within ±12 of your guess, but pays the most (lock ×2.00).
  2. Paste your attempts. One attempt per line. Spaces or tabs both work:

  1. Press Solve. The panel shows your next guess, your boost so far, and why.

What the signal words mean

What the hint words mean

too farHard channel only: you are outside the trend window — you only know the band.
NO BASELINENo trend information yet (usually the first attempt).

What the results mean

1Next Guess — the frequency with the highest expected value right now.
2Boost So Far — the multiplier your best guess has banked. Only a better guess replaces it. Untuned wallets mine at ×0.75, so even a far guess never pays less than skipping.
3Strategy — your chance to lock with the attempts you have left, the remaining target range, and the expected final boost.
4Channel table — compares Easy, Normal and Hard on lock rate and mean boost, so you can see which channel pays best.
Rules to remember
Attempt 1 locks the channel for the whole day. You get 10 attempts. A CONTRADICTION tag means the pasted log is inconsistent — check your lines. Always guess: the ×0.75 floor means skipping is never better.

Derple

Guess the 5-letter word (Wordle)

Every day there is a hidden 5-letter word. You get 6 guesses. Each guess tells you which letters are right — in the right place, in the word but the wrong place, or not in the word at all. The Derple panel narrows the word list with every guess.

Two ways to enter guesses

  1. Type them in. Write 5 letters, click each square to set its colour (absent → present → correct), then press Add Guess or Enter.
  2. Paste from derp.works. Copy your guesses as a word plus emoji marks, or with dots:

Note: pasting replaces the whole board — the paste IS your current game state. Do not paste a single line on top of earlier guesses.

What the colours mean

What the results mean

1Next Guess — the remaining word that reveals the most information (entropy-optimal). It never repeats a word you already guessed.
2Board + log — a preview of your guesses and how many candidates are left.
3SOLVED tag — one candidate remains; you have the word.
Word list
The solver uses the same dictionary as the live game on derp.works. If a word the game accepts is missing here, it will be added after the daily harvest completes.

Decoder

Crack the shared daily code

One code is generated each UTC day and shared by every wallet. Each admitted shift reveals about one more digit of the code. You get 3 attempts — every miss still narrows the space, and other miners' reveals count too.

How to use it

  1. Pick the code length. 5 digits today (8 digits from day 99999).
  2. Enter revealed positions — one per line, as position:digit. Combine your own reveals with other miners' — the code is shared:

  1. Enter your attempts — code plus Match or Miss (✓/✗ also works), one per line:

  1. Press Solve.

What the results mean

1Win Probability — your chance to crack the code with the attempts you have left.
2Tumbler — green digits are revealed, “?” are still unknown.
3Suggested Guess — shown when few unknowns remain; otherwise the panel tells you to pool with other miners.

The code is shared by everyone. Put your reveals next to other miners' — every digit revealed helps the whole pool crack the code faster.

Tips & FAQ

Things worth knowing
1Paste formats. All boxes accept spaces, tabs, or copied table cells — even non-breaking spaces from a web page.
2Fresh start. The New Day button (top right) resets every panel. Nothing is saved between visits — your data stays in your browser only.
3Parse errors. If a red message shows the first line of your paste, that is the line the site could not understand — check its format.
4Contradictions. A CONTRADICTION tag means two of your pasted lines disagree (for example, two signals that cannot both be true). Remove the wrong line and solve again.
5Privacy. Everything runs in your browser. This tool does not connect to your wallet and sends nothing you paste anywhere.
6Ads. The banner at the bottom of the tools page is served by a third party and is unrelated to the solvers.
